Melissa and Lane Graves

Update 4:30 PM, 6/15/2016

At approximately 2:30 PM local Orange County Sheriff's office recovered the intact body of Lane Graves. Son of Matt and Melissa Graves from Elk Horn, Nebraska.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission has trapped 5 alligators. If one of these alligators are not the one responsible, they will continue to search for the correct alligator. They will verify the alligator by bite marks left on the body.

Lane was found close to where he was taken by divers. The body was located in about 6' of water, approximately 15' from the shore. The child was drowned and not eaten. Due to the murky waters, it took an extended time to recover the body.

Florida Fish and Wildlife will be working with Disney to examine any thing that could be done to increase safety.
